"White Acres" Development Plan Opposed, an article from The Gazette, reports that neighbors oppose a development which would be situated between Red Rock Canyon and Section 16 located just beyond the western city limits of Colorado Springs.  The property had been donated to the Bethany Baptist Church by the White family.  Infinity Land Corporation is interested in building 50 homes on the land.  According to Glenn Pressman, one of the neighbors, the land was donated to the church to protect it against development.  Infinity may allow the city's TOPS (Trails, Open Space and Parks) program to purchase of the property, according to Pressman.

Bargain Hunters Have Field Day With REOs, an article from Realtor Magazine Online, reports that banks with high numbers of foreclosures are dumping them onto the market and bargain hunters are taking advantage of these opportunities.  "In this market, there are so many REOs that the banks are getting their clocks cleaned.  This might not be bottom, but waiting six months might be too late," says Mark Partipilo, a Las Vegas real estate investor.
