Fish Market prepares for new life as wedding, events venue, an article from the Colorado Springs Business Journal, reports that the 8,900-square-foot commercial building on 2.77 acres overlooking downtown Colorado Springs soon will become a destination for local wedding parties and special event planners.  Last month, the property was purchased for $1.45 million by the Yellen Family Partnership LLLP, which also operates The Pinery in Black Forest.  Local architect Bruce Barr and general contractor Art Klein Construction have been hired to transform the existing site and building into what the new owners describe as “mini-Broadmoor” quality.  The former Fish Market site will become Pinery on the Hill.  Eric Allen, director of operations for the Black Forest facility and the Pinery on the Hill said, “We hope to be ready to formally announce our plans for the building by mid-July, once the review process and is completed.”
