City OK's up to $32M for USOC deal, an article from The Gazette, reports that City Council approved a measure on Tuesday for new downtown offices for the U.S. Olympic Committee.  The measure also allows the Springs to follow through on an agreement approved earlier by the City, USOC and local real estate firm LandCO Equity Partners.  The deal is part of a $53 million incentive package to keep the USOC's headquarters in the Springs.  Certificates of participation will fund the purchase of the upper five floors of a LandCo building at 27 S. Tejon St. and the purchase of a former Utilities building on Cimino Drive.

Tips For Sellers Down On Their Luck, an article from RealtyTimes.com, reports that Consumer Reports not only rates products and goods, but also offers information for homeowners holding, buying or selling their home and recently offered homeowners tried and true ways to quickly sell homes.  First, get good representation.  Attend open house events hosted by prospective brokers so you can check out their on-the-job performance.  Next, get a home warranty.  A home warranty for the buyer will provide some protection against unexpected mechanical system breakdowns in the first year.  Finally, get some staging.  According to Consumer Reports, the effort will make your home more visually appealing to a wider variety of buyers.
