Couple seek investors for multisport complex, an article from The Gazette, reports that a Fountain couple want to build a 2,000-seat indoor multisport complex for uses ranging from soccer to yoga.  The complex is called the Stadium of Stars and the 65,000-square-foot facility would be on 4.4 acres on Fountain’s north side, west of U.S. Highway 85/87.  Greg Stingerie and his wife, Lisa, started the project in the fall of 2005.  In 2006, a feasibility study showed “the area would support a facility such as this,” Greg Stingerie said.  Fountain Mayor Jeri Howells said, “I’m particularly excited about it because it’s private enterprise doing it without tax dollars.  I hope people will support it, and I think it’s going to be great for our part of the area.”

Hope Now: We've helped 1M home owners, an article from CNNMoney.com, reports that Hope Now, the foreclosure prevention coalition put together with the Bush administration's support, claims success in helping at-risk mortgage borrowers stay in their homes.  According to Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson, the groups have reworked more than 1 million mortgage loans since July.  Of those borrowers, 278,000 saw the terms of their mortgages modified, while the remainder were put on repayment plans.  Paulson told National Association of Business economists on Monday that loan modifications alone increased 19% from December to January.  He added that by comparison, foreclosure starts increased just 5% during the same period.  "I am encouraged that the number of borrowers receiving help is rising faster than the number entering foreclosure," said Paulson.
