The Shops at Circle Square joining S. Circle retailers, an article from The Colorado Springs Business Journal, reports that a 32,000-square-foot shopping center has broken ground near the southeast corner of Janitell Road and South Circle Drive.  The 2.11-acre parcel is part of a larger development that includes a Kohl's department store, a McDonald's and a Shell gas station.

Green Rating System for Homes Debuts, an article from Realtor Magazine Online, reports that the U.S. Green Building Council is now rolling out a rating system for residential construction.  Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design or LEED guidelines has been an industry standard in determining whether a commercial building is Earth-friendly.  LEED for Homes will rate environmental performance in site selection and preparation, energy and water use, building and finishing materials and the quality of indoor air.  In 2008, the National Association of Home Builders will launch a similar rating system.
